PDFmdx overview


Template Editor

Using the Template Editor, the criteria and process steps are configured. Templates and associated layouts are required to categorize the documents to split and read the desired information therefrom. Templates determine the naming, folder structure, metadata and define further processing with stationery, signature and email delivery.

Job Processor

Processing of documents via Folder Monitoring. Multiple jobs can be created and several input folders can be monitored. Per Job / input folder there is a pre-selection of the recognizable templates. The processor checks each document to be processed against the pre-selected template. If the detection conditions are met, the processing is carried out, which has been set via the template.

Conditions

Built on fields and over logical links as well as text and substring. In order to control split, layout detection and deleting pages. Through logical criteria pages can be identified that should be deleted.

Windows Service

For server-based and unattended processing a Windows service will be installed. Alternatively, a bootable applications can be used. The service account to be used is configurable.

Layouts

A template can also be associated with multiple layouts. These specify how and where the fields been found or what is to be read. The layout recognition is performed by logical conditions via the fields positioned in the layout.

Print-Server Configuration

The PDF Printer Print Server service is also supported. Selecting the default printer, and which field the printer controls. Alias mapping allows you to assign values read to a physical printer.

Features, licensing and activation


Split and re-assemble documents
Documents can be divided according to fixed pages, changing field contents, logical criteria or recognizing the layout change. Documents can be split and then put together again, on fields with different sorting and structure.

PDF info-, search- / anchor fields
Can be filled with a fixed text or data read from the document information. Fields can be positioned and read from an absolute position, or via a search function, relative to anchor fields.

Stationery and eMail template
Possible Overlay and Underlay of PDF stationery. Different letterheads can be controlled und used by conditions out of the document content. Recognizing and reading e-mail addresses from the document. Subject and content are preconfigured and can be enriched via field contents. Fixed attachments are assignable.

Parallel and scheduled processing
With sufficient resources, and a high volume of documents, several parallel processing processor can be configured and operated. By default, newly added files are immediately detected and processed. However, there is also the scheduling – in minute intervals, daily at a certain time or with specified date / time.

The products are installed as a DEMO version at the workplace and can be tested with all functions for 30 days. Afterwards, the software must be activated as a full version, otherwise a DEMO stamp will be applied to the generated documents.

The products are licensed according to your order for the workstation, terminal server or server.

The licenses are tied to the workplace where it was activated first. Licenses can be transferred.

When you purchase a full license, you will receive access data from the ProductActivationManager and activate your DEMO version as a full version. The activationkey is called via a server installed in our house and accessible via the Internet.

Concurrent Use for Terminal Server: The software can be installed on the concurrent user license model on any number of computers. The server registers the number of licenses currently issued and grants each authorized user the right to use. If all licenses are assigned, an additional concurrent user must wait until another user terminates his session and a license is available again.

Product Activation

You can activate the products by clicking the user interface on the button “Activate” in the “Info” or “About” or start the Product Activation Manager directly via Start | Programs | Your Product | Product Activation Manager.

Activate Application: ONLINE (Video: PAM – ONLINE Activation)

Activate the product with user ID and password. Select the Application (left side) and then “Activate Application”. You will be prompted for user ID and password and then see all the remaining free licenses to choose from. Select one and click “OK” – Activation Complete! This variant requires an internet connection!

Please note that the licenses are hardware bound. The use on another computer is possible only through a prior release (MOVE) of the already activated licenses.

Move license (to new PC) (Video: PAM – MOVE License)

This option allows to transer a license to a different PC. Input of UserID und Passwort is necessary! Product will remain as demo version on your PC.
